Thomson's Technicolor Digital Cinema to Equip ArcLight Cinemas

Paris - Thomson (NYSE: TMS) said on Friday that its Technicolor Digital Cinema unit has signed an agreement to provide digital cinema systems for ArcLight Cinemas. The deal includes ArcLight Hollywood and the Cinerama Dome theater in Hollywood.

Thomson to Install Digital Cinema Projectors for 3 Theater Chains

Paris - Thomson's (NYSE: TMS) Technicolor Digital Cinema unit said on Tuesday that it has signed agreements to install digital projection systems for theater owners Clearview Cinemas, iPic Entertainment and Cinemaworld. Thomson intends to complete its first rollout of digital projection systems in up to 5,000 screens over the next three to four years, with 15,000 screens in the United States and Canada planned over the next 10 years.

Technicolor to Install Digital Projectors for Zyacorp, Wehrenberg Theatres

Burbank, Calif. - Thomson's Technicolor Digital Cinema (TDC) unit announced on Tuesday that it has signed agreements to install digital projection systems in theaters owned by Zyacorp Entertainment and Wehrenberg Theatres. Under the deals, TDC will initially install its projectors at all of Zyacorp's Cinemagic theaters in the Northeastern U.S., and in select Wehrenberg theaters throughout the Midwest. Thomson said it plans to install up to 5,000 digital projectors over the next 3-4 years, and at least 15,000 in the U.S. and Canada over the next ten years.

Technicolor Taps Christie, Dolby, Doremi Projectors for Digital Cinema Test

Burbank, Calif. - Thomson's Technicolor Digital Cinema unit announced on Monday that it has selected digital cinema projectors from manufacturers Christie, Dolby and Doremi to deploy in its North American beta test of an end-to-end digital cinema delivery system. Covering 250 screens in the U.S. and Canada, the test will evaluate at least three different projectors, in combination with a minimum of two servers. Technicolor Digital Cinema said the test is part of a broader rollout of complete digital theater systems at up to 5,000 screens over the next 3-4 years; parent company Thomson said it intends to equip at least 15,000 screens in the U.S. and Canada.
