Bangkok - Thailand is once again looking to block videos on YouTube, this time ordering ISPs to prohibit access to clips that allege former Prime Minister Prem Tinsulanonda plotted the bloodless coup in the country last September, and not the generals who took credit for the action, Reuters reported. The clips, whose allegations have also been made by supporters of ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, were deemed to "cause public confusion and threaten national security," Yanaphon Youngyuen, head of the Justice Ministry's Internet crimes unit, told Reuters. Thailand just recently lifted a five-month YouTube ban, which was instilled after videos mocking the country's beloved king -- a crime in Thailand -- appeared on the site.
