Morristown, N.J. - Access Integrated Technologies, a provider of digital cinema services, said on Monday that it plans to install 150 of its CineLive systems throughout the U.S., which enable live broadcast of 2D and 3D content into movie theaters via satellite. San Francisco - The Bigger Picture, a unit of digital cinema firm Access Integrated Technologies (NASD: AIXD), said on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement with the San Francisco Opera, to distribute six operas per year in movie theaters, beginning in March 2008. Earlier this year, the S.F. Opera installed a permanent, HD video production facility at the War Memorial Opera House, the first of its kind for an American opera house. The deal with The Bigger Picture comes after a "landmark" revenue-sharing agreement was reached between the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) and the American Federation of Musicians (AFM). Los Angeles - The Bigger Picture, a unit of digital cinema firm AccessIT, said on Thursday that it will offer a preview of a new in-theater digital concert series featuring performances from the South by Southwest Music Festival on July, 14, in advance of a nationwide run in the fall. The two-hour show, which was produced by Blaze TV and DirecTV, will be projected in digital cinema with 5.1 surround sound and feature performances from artists including The Polyphonic Spree, Peter Bjorn & John and Rocco Deluca. Tickets for the series are expected to range from $8.75 to $10.25, depending on the market. Previews will be held in Boston, Nashville, Dallas and Ft. Worth. Morristown, N.J. - Access Integrated Technologies (AccessIT), a provider of digital cinema software and services for theaters, announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with The Bigger Picture, to make its entertainment programming available to all 785 theaters using Christie/AIX digital projectors. The programs include G-rated movies for kids on the weekends, anime films and "inspirational films" from Fox's new Fox Faith studio.
