Baltimore - TidalTV, a Baltimore-based broadband video startup founded by Advertising.com co-founder Scott Ferber, said that it has launched a beta test of its streaming TV service. The site offers free access to online video programming through a streaming, browser-based platform, with DVR-style controls. The company has content deals in place with programming providers such as NBC News, MSNBC, Scripps Networks, TV Guide Network, The Weather Channel, Vogue.TV and Sports Illustrated. The content, to be available when TidalTV launches in beta mode later this spring, will include full-length episodes from series such as "Taboo," "Critical Situation," "Man-Made" and "Wild," as well as clips from various other shows.
