Entertainment announced on Tuesday that several of its upcoming Blu-ray releases
will include new interactive features, including social networking and mobile
applications for the iPhone. The pocket BLU app connects a user's iPhone via
Wi-Fi to a network-connected Blu-ray player, and can become an advanced remote
control; provide a video timeline; function as a keyboard for Blu-ray chat and
messaging; and unlock exclusive mobile bonus content. The social BLU technology
will allow users to send Facebook and Twitter status updates from their Blu-ray
player, and in the future let users share film-related user-generated content. The
new features will be available on forthcoming Blu-ray editions of films
including "Bruno," "Funny People" and "Inglorious
Basterds."

- After reacquiring merchandising rights from Universal Studios, Shannon Lee,
the daughter of martial arts legend Bruce Lee and CEO of Bruce Lee Enterprises
and LeeWay Media has launched a new website and is engaged in licensing name
and likeness rights, and creating original film and television productions. Projects
in development include a Chinese-language biopic; an animation project with
Waddell Media and Flickerpix; a CG action film; and a Broadway musical.

that operates a network of DVD rental kiosks, said on Tuesday that a federal
court has allowed its antitrust lawsuit against Universal Studios Home
Entertainment (NYSE: GE) to proceed, denying the studio's motion to dismiss. "The
Federal Court's decision marks an important step forward in our effort to
protect consumers' right to convenient, affordable access to new release DVDs
at redbox locations nationwide," said Redbox president Mitch Lowe.

Stockholm, Sweden - A coalition of Hollywood movie studios,
including Disney (NYSE: DIS), Universal, Warner Bros. (NYSE: TWX), Columbia, Sony (NYSE: SNE), NBC (NYSE: GE) and Viacom's (NYSE: VIA) Paramount,
have filed suit in Sweden, asking a court to shutter file-sharing hub The
Pirate Bay. The four operators of The Pirate Bay have already been found guilty
of copyright infringement and sentenced to jail time and fines; that ruling has
been appealed.

Entertainment said on Monday that it plans to offer Apple (NASD: AAPL) iPhone and iPod
touch-enabled features on a number of upcoming Blu-ray movie releases. The
features, to be enabled via App Store applications, will let iPhone owners control interactive content within the films as
they watch them. Users will also be able to access bonus Blu-ray content and
download it to an iPhone or iPod touch for viewing on-the-go.
