Rapper Master P Named President of Udub Digital Label

Los Angeles - Rapper Percy "Master P" Miller has been named president of Udub Music, a digital label launched by entertainment content distributor UrbanWorld Wireless, Billboard reports. The label's advisory board also includes former MCA Records president of urban music Ernie Singleton. Udub, whose roster includes Clipse, 40 Glocc and Bonecrusher, will create social networks for each of its artists, and distribute tracks both through its own site and via partners including Jamster, Thumbplay and T-Mobile.

Jamster to Distribute UrbanWorld Wireless "Street Beatz" Ringtones

Los Angeles - Mobile entertainment publisher UrbanWorld Wireless said on Wednesday that ringtone distributor Jamster will offer its Street Beatz ringtone service, which includes original ringtones produced by hip-hop deejays, producers and unsigned artists.

UrbanWorld Wireless Signs Hip-Hop Artists for Original Content

Los Angeles - Mobile entertainment publisher UrbanWorld Wireless announced on Monday that it has signed hip-hop artists David Banner, G-Unit's DJ Whoo Kid and Heather Hunter, along with hip-hop radio personality Fatman Scoop, to create original mobile content for the company. The artists will produce original ringtones and ringback tones for Los Angeles-based UrbanWorld, which has signed similar deals for original mobile content production with Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg and Chingy.
