San Mateo, Calif. - Mobile advertising and publishing services firm 4INFO announced on Thursday that it has raised $20 million in equity and debt funding, led by Peacock Equity and Gannett (NYSE: GCI).

Los Angeles - National Banana, a site that features episodic comedy videos produced Jerry Zucker ("Airplane," "The Naked Gun"), has raised more than $1 million in funding from US Venture Partners, VentureBeat reported.

Mobile Sharing Start-up Zannel Raises $6 Million in First Round

Menlo Park, Calif. - Zannel, a technology start-up that has been in stealth mode, said on Wednesday that it has raised $6 million in its first round of financing, co-led by U.S. Venture Partners and Palomar Ventures. Menlo Park, Calif.-based Zannel is developing technology for consuming and sharing content across wireless devices, which it plans to launch in the "near future." Adam Zbar, the company's CEO, formerly served as a mobile media consultant to Infospace Mobile, Moviso and Disney MVNO. In addition, CTO Braxton Woodham was the CTO at Infospace Mobile, and COO Steve Hoffman was the studio head of Infospace Games.
