McLean, Va. - USAToday.com, the web site of USA Today, on Thursday launched an online flight community called "Today in the Sky."

New York - CBS's (NYSE: CBS) CSTV.com college sports service said on Wednesday a digital marketing partnership with Gannett's (NYSE: GCI) USA Today, whereby CSTV.com's CSTV XXL on-demand video player and GameTracker play-by-play application assets will be made available on USAToday.com. CSTV also plans to syndicate short-form video clips to USAToday.com under a new co-branded sports tab.

USAToday.com Rolls Out Second Round of Widgets

McLean, Va. - USAToday.com said on Tuesday that it has launched five new widgets designed to help its readers share news and information through their blogs, social networks and websites. The company launched its first widgets in early September, and plans to roll out its new offerings through mid-November. New widgets include online celebrity video features and entertainment headlines, most popular headlines, political updates, a pop culture blog and the paper's popular "Snapshots" information graphic. The widgets can be used on partner sites including Blogger, Freewebs, iGoogle, MySpace and TypePad, among others.

"Simpsons Movie" Promo Spikes Traffic at USAToday.com

McLean, Va. - USAToday.com said that its site traffic in July increased 20% from the prior year and 24% from June. The company said that its Simpson's Hometown online contest, held in partnership with 20th Century Fox's "The Simpson's Movie," was a major driver of reader traffic. The contest elicited a record number of reader comments on the site.

USAToday.com Reports 21% Traffic Spike Since Re-launch

McLean, Va. - USA Today said that its USAToday.com website saw a substantial increase in traffic and registered users following its re-launch in March. The company said that unique visitors to its site, which features several new interactive capabilities, increased 21% from February, according to Nielsen/NetRatings, and site registrations jumped 380%.

USAToday.com Launches Personal Technology Video Podcast
