Los Angeles - uWink, the "interactive dining experience" company launched by Nolan Bushnell, founder of both Atari and Chuck E. Cheese's, said on Wednesday that its previously announced uWink location at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles will open in early May. Each table at the restaurant, which will occupy the 7,200 square foot space where Wolfgang Puck's Brasserie Vert was located, will have touch-screen terminals that are used for both gaming, and to order food and beverages.

Los Angeles - uWink, a developer of touch-screen game software used in a line of game-themed restaurants, announced on Monday the creation of uWink Canada, a joint venture with venture capital firm Jefferson Partners that will seek to open uWink restaurants in the Canadian market. The first such location is expected to open in late 2007 or early 2008.

ROO Group Inc., a provider of online video solutions for content owners, advertisers and Web sites, today announced the appointment of Simon Bax, Stephen Palley, and Scott Ackerman to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. The additions increase the size of ROO's Board to six members, including four independent directors. Los Angeles - uWink, a restaurant chain launched by Atari founder Nolan Bushnell that features tables with touch-screen video game terminals, announced on Tuesday that monthly revenues at its flagship location have grown from $30,000 at its October launch, to $185,000 last month. The Woodland Hills, Calif.-based location added that it is currently serving 3,000-3,500 guests per week, who are playing between 50,000 and 60,000 games per week on its game terminals.
