Uploader of "24" TV Episodes Faces Felony Copyright Charge

Los Angeles - A 24-year-old Chicago man faces felony copyright infringement charges for posting several episodes of the Fox TV series "24" on the Internet before their broadcast premieres, the Associated Press reported.

24's Secret of Success is Spelled R-E-S-P-E-C-T

24As just about everyone knows, the season premiere of the best show on television kicked off for two nights straight on last night and Sunday night with the first four episodes.  Serial dramas are hot right now, but having mixed success as a recent article in USAToday noted.  "24" remains the gold standard in those dramas.  For those unfamiliar with the show, it follows the adventures of a secret agent, Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland), over the course of an entire day in real time.  1 minute elapsed in the show is meant to be 1 minute real time - and from my viewpoint, the show's success stems from a single principle all the other shows would do well to learn.  The show has a respect for its viewer that is frequently missing when it comes to television.  Here's what I mean by respect:

Sprint to Offer Sneak Peek Video Clips from Fox's "24"

Overland Park, Kan. - Wireless carrier Sprint announced on Friday that it has partnered with Fox to offer sneak peeks of upcoming episodes and other content from the upcoming season of "24." Shortly after each episode is broadcast, Sprint subscribers with compatible phones will be able to access a sneak peak of next week's episode on Sprint TV. Clips will also be made available the morning after each episode airs, along with quizzes and a "survival guide."

I-play Releases Sequel to Mobile Game Based on Fox's "24"

San Mateo, Calif. - Mobile game publisher I-play on Wednesday released its "24: Agent Down" title, based on the Fox TV drama series. The game is a sequel to I-play's BAFTA Award-winning mobile game, "24."

News Corp. to Sell Episodes of Fox TV's "24" on MySpace

New York - News Corporation plans to begin selling episodes of its Fox TV network's series "24" on the MySpace social networking service, which the company's Fox Interactive Media unit acquired a year ago for $580 million, the Wall Street Journal reported. The $1.99 episodes will go on sale next week alongside two free episodes sponsored by Burger King.
