Microsoft Launches MSN Mobile Music Store in U.K.

London - Microsoft (NASD: MSFT) has launched a new mobile music store in the U.K., offering a library of 1 million full-track downloads, 10,000 music videos and 25,000 ringtones, Music Ally reports. Powered by VidZone Digital Media, the MSN Mobile Music portal utilizes digital rights management (DRM) security that will prevent users from transferring content to another device.

VidZone Digital Media Adds Indie Artist Videos to YouTube

London - VidZone Digital Media, a London-based digital distributor of independent music, has signed a deal with YouTube that will put 4,000 of its indie label artist music videos on the site, MusicWeek reported. VidZone will handle all encoding, promotion and reporting of content via YouTube.
