CBS' DaytimeDollars.com Offers Cash Prizes to Soap Opera Viewers

Chicago - CBS on Monday introduced a new on-air and online promotion for its "Guiding Light" and "As The World Turns" soap operas, that will reward viewers with cash prizes through numeric codes announced by characters during the programs. Under the DaytimeDollars.com sweepstakes, users can register online to receive daily e-mails containing their personal code numbers. Then, if their numbers are announced by an actor during a "10-second break-away from the program's scripted action," the viewer wins $500. DaytimeDollars.com is slated to run from March 13 through Sept. 29.
