Irvine, Calif. - VitalStream, a provider of content delivery network services, announced on Monday that it has partnered with VirtuPoint to power the online video portal for the NHL's Los Angeles Kings. The KingsTV service will offer live events like press conferences and pre- and post-game shows, in addition to interviews with coaches and players.

Atlanta - Internap Network Services, an Atlanta-based provider of performance network services over the Internet, has agreed to pay $217 million in stock to acquire VitalStream, a California-based provider of audio and video streaming services. Under the agreement, Internap will issue about 11.9 million shares of common stock. Internap said that by combining the two companies' product lines it will be able to meet the needs of customers seeking to both deliver rich media content and monetize that content.

Irvine, Calif. - VitalStream, a provider of audio and video streaming content delivery network services, announced on Monday that it has acquired Eonstreams, a provider of Internet ad insertion and streaming technology, in a stock deal valued at $17 million. Irvine, Calif.-based VitalStream said it purchased substantially all of the assets and assumed substantially all of the liabilities of Tennessee-based Eonstreams. VitalStream said the acquisition will enhance its services, offering its customers the ability to insert streaming ads into live and on-demand streaming broadcasts that target specific demographics.

Irvine, Calif. -- VitalStream, a provider of audio and video streaming, Web conferencing, advanced media hosting, payment processing and consulting services, announced on Thursday that it has raised $900,000 in new funds through a private placement of its stock with Dolphin Equity Partners and its management team. The company also said that it has restructured the $1.1 million in outstanding notes to Dolphin. Irvine, Calif.-based VitalStream's president and CEO Paul Summers called the financing and note restructure "the first step in accomplishing our goal of moving the company onto a major exchange such as the NASDAQ or the AMEX."

Terms call for VitalStream to offer 12.5 percent of its stock and $200,000 in cash. Irvine-based VitalStream plans to integrate Epoch's Los Angeles data center into the company's content delivery network and will enhance the facility with advanced digital broadcasting capabilities.
