San Diego - VMIX, a provider of online video and media management services, announced on Thursday that it has raised $2 million in a Series B-1 round of financing.

San Diego - VMix, an interactive media and social networking community, announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement to provide publisher Media General with technology for managing user-generated videos, photos, audio, blogs, ratings, polls and other community content. The VMix technology will be deployed across more than 50 Media General sites, including those of The Tampa Tribune, Richmond Times-Dispatch and Winston-Salem Journal.

Tribune Taps VMix for User-Generated Content on Newspaper Sites

San Diego - User-generated video community and technology provider VMix announced on Monday that it has partnered with Tribune Interactive, to provide the company's newspaper websites with technology to manage user-generated videos, photos, blogs, ratings and polls. San Diego-based VMix will power user-generated content on websites for Tribune properties including the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and Baltimore Sun.

Fox, vMix Partner on "Napoleon Dynamite" Dance-Off Promotion

San Diego - Fox Home Entertainment on Wednesday launched a promotion for the release of the "Napoleon Dynamite" special edition DVD, where users can submit videos of themselves dancing after editing them online using technology from vMix, a video-sharing online community. Winners of the "dance-off" will be determined by the vMix community.
