Vocus Launches Billboard Publicity Wire

Lanham, Md. - Vocus, a developer of public relations software and operator of the PRWeb service, said on Tuesday that it has teamed with music industry trade publication Billboard to launch a new press release service focused on entertainment and music promotion. Vocus said that the wire service uses various techniques to direct press release readers to artists' websites.

PR Software Developer Vocus Acquires PRWeb for $28 Million

Lanham, Md. - Vocus, a provider of on-demand software for public relations and corporate communications, announced on Monday that it has acquired online press release distribution service PRWeb for $28 million in cash and stock.
