Wired News: Nintendo DS Voice-Navigated Recipe Title Big in Japan

San Francisco - Wired News on Monday reported on a Japanese title for the Nintendo DS handheld system that contains over 200 voice-navigated food recipes. "Talk! DS Cuisine Navigator" sold more than 120,000 units in its first week of availability in Japan. The title reads step-by-step cooking instructions, and responds to commands including "Next page," "Go back" and "More detail," in which case the narrator breaks down a particular step in the recipe even further.

Nuance Software Used in Language Translator Title for Sony PSP

Tokyo - Nuance Communications, a developer of speech and imaging software, announced on Wednesday that Sony Computer Entertainment has implemented its voice recognition technology in a title for the PSP that can recognize foreign languages and translate them for users.
