San Francisco - Sega of America and Sega Europe said on Friday that actress Lacey Chabert ("Party of Five," "Mean Girls") has been cast in the role of Princess Elise in Sega's new "Sonic The Hedgehog" game. It will mark the first time in the history of the popular Sonic franchise that Hollywood talent will voice one of the characters. The game is scheduled for release this holiday season on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems.

Los Angeles - Vivendi Games' Sierra Entertainment unit said on Thursday that its "Scarface: The World Is Yours" will feature the voice talent of actors from the 1983 film including Robert Loggia, Steven Bauer and Al Israel, in addition to James Woods, Ice T, Ricky Gervais and Cheech Marin. The game will ship in the fall for PlayStation 2, Xbox and the PC. Separately, Sierra said that Day 1 Studios and Monolith Productions are currently developing a version of their "F.E.A.R." title for Xbox 360, which will be on display at next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Interactive Entertainment to secure the voice talent of actors Brandon Routh, Kevin Spacey, Kate Bosworth, Parker Posey and Sam Huntington for its upcoming "Superman Returns: The Videogame". Currently in development at Orlando, Fla.-based EA Tiburon, the game for Xbox 360, current-generation platforms and handhelds is scheduled for release alongside the film on June 28.
