Sega Signs Actress Lacey Chabert as Voice Talent for "Sonic" Game

San Francisco - Sega of America and Sega Europe said on Friday that actress Lacey Chabert ("Party of Five," "Mean Girls") has been cast in the role of Princess Elise in Sega's new "Sonic The Hedgehog" game. It will mark the first time in the history of the popular Sonic franchise that Hollywood talent will voice one of the characters. The game is scheduled for release this holiday season on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems.

Electronic Arts Signs Hilary Duff, Her Dog to Appear in "The Sims 2 Pets"

Redwood City, Calif. - Electronic Arts said on Thursday that actress and singer Hilary Duff and her pet Chihuahua, Lola, will playing starring roles in its new video game, "The Sims 2 Pets," scheduled for release on Oct. 17. Duff and Lola will appear in different scenes on each of the platforms the game will be released on -- PlayStation 2, GameCube, Nintendo DS and the PC.

Midway Games Signs Bill Romanowski for Cover of "Blitz: The League"

Chicago - Midway Games announced on Tuesday that it has signed former NFL linebacker Bill Romanowski to appear alongside Lawrence Taylor on the cover of its "Blitz: The League" for Xbox 360 and "Blitz: The League Overtime" for Sony PSP.

Bethesda Softworks Signs All 5 Enterprise Captains for "Star Wars" Game

Rockville, Md. - Video game developer Bethesda Softworks announced on Monday that, in addition to William Shatner, it has signed all of the five captains of the Star Trek Enterprise to provide voice talent for its "Star Trek: Legacy" game for Xbox 360 and the PC.

TomTom Adds Navtones Celebrity Voices to GPS Navigation Devices

Concord, Mass. - TomTom, a maker of GPS portable navigation devices, announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement to offer Navtones, or downloadable celebrity voices that replace the generic voice that speaks turn-by-turn directions from the devices.

Vivendi Games Lists Hollywood Voice Talent for "Scarface" Game

Los Angeles - Vivendi Games' Sierra Entertainment unit said on Thursday that its "Scarface: The World Is Yours" will feature the voice talent of actors from the 1983 film including Robert Loggia, Steven Bauer and Al Israel, in addition to James Woods, Ice T, Ricky Gervais and Cheech Marin. The game will ship in the fall for PlayStation 2, Xbox and the PC. Separately, Sierra said that Day 1 Studios and Monolith Productions are currently developing a version of their "F.E.A.R." title for Xbox 360, which will be on display at next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Electronic Arts Signs Voice Talent for "Superman Returns" Game

Redwood City, Calif. - Electronic Arts announced on Tuesday that it has collaborated with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to secure the voice talent of actors Brandon Routh, Kevin Spacey, Kate Bosworth, Parker Posey and Sam Huntington for its upcoming "Superman Returns: The Videogame". Currently in development at Orlando, Fla.-based EA Tiburon, the game for Xbox 360, current-generation platforms and handhelds is scheduled for release alongside the film on June 28.
