VoloMedia Announces Award of 'Patent for Podcasting'

Sunnyvale, Calif. - VoloMedia announced on Wednesday that it has been awarded a U.S. patent on a "method of providing episodic media," which the company says "covers the fundamental mechanisms of podcasting." VoloMedia, which applied for the patent in 2003, told NewTeeVee that it is "not talking about violation or litigation" against prospective infringers of its new patent, but added that it is in talks with major podcast distributor Apple and TV networks.

VoloMedia Raises $3.5 Million for Downloadable Media Ads

Mountain View, Calif. - VoloMedia, a developer of advertising, metrics and reporting tools for downloadable media, said on Tuesday that it has raised $3.5 million in venture capital from Leader Ventures.
