Washington Redskins Team with AOL to Launch Redskins Connect

Dulles, Va. - The Washington Redskins have teamed with AOL to launch Redskins Connect, a new line of online offerings including Redskins-related e-mail addresses, video and picture uploads and a co-branded toolbar. All of the products can be accessed online through the official Redskins team site. AOL plans to launch additional features in the coming weeks, including a tool that will allow users to search through team video and a tool that will allow fans to chat with each about news articles.

RCN Signs Multi-Platform Ad Deal With Washington Redskins

Herndon, Va. - RCN, a provider of bundled video, data and voice services, said that it has signed a major advertising pact with the Washington Redskins. Under the multi-year deal, the company will get signage at FedEx Field, as well as advertisements on the team's website and radio network. The company has increasingly been pushing into the sports arena, signing partnership or sponsorship deals with Georgetown University athletics, the Kettler Capitals Iceplex, the DC United soccer team and the Patriot Center at George Mason University.

Cox to Offer Free Washington Redskins Programs On-Demand

Herndon, Va. - Cable TV provider Cox Communications announced on Tuesday a programming partnership with the Washington Redskins, which will bring a variety of free on-demand football programs to Cox subscribers in Fairfax County and the Fredericksburg region. The deal, which covers the 2006-2008 seasons, includes programs like "Joe Gibbs Coach's Show," "Redskins Game Day," ":60 with a Redskin" and "Cheerleader Profiles." Another aspect of the deal will offer desktop software that provides team updates and news alerts to Cox broadband subscribers.
