Boston, MA - WeeWorld, a virtual world for kids, has entered into a strategic licensing agreement with FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) in North American and United Kingdom to develop new licensing products.

Boston - WeeWorld, the provider of a personalized avatar creation service, on Monday announced the launch of a virtual world where users can interact with one another via their "WeeMee" creations. To date, users have created more than 21 million WeeMees, while WeeWorld.com attracts 1.6 million unique monthly visitors to its social network. In addition to chat, the new virtual world will offer gaming elements and mini-quests where users can track down hidden objects and gain access to exclusive assets.

Jamster to Offer WeeWorld Cartoon Avatars for Mobile Phones

London - Mobile entertainment publisher Jamster, a unit of VeriSign, announced on Monday that it has partnered with WeeWorld, to bring the company's cartoon-like personalized avatars to mobile phones. Under the deal, Jamster users can now create customized WeeWorld avatars for use as wallpapers, screensavers and caller ID images on their mobile phones.

Communications Avatar Firm WeeWorld Raises $15.5 Million

Glasgow, U.K. - WeeWorld, a developer of personalization technology for mobile and Web communications, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $15.5 million in its second round of venture capital financing, from Accel Partners and Benchmark Capital. Glasgow-based WeeWorld's technology allows users to create a visual representation of themselves, which also reflects their hobbies and interests, that may then be attached to profiles on instant messaging services, e-mail, blogs, social networking sites, VoIP services and picture messaging for mobile phones. The company's WeeMee profiles are available to users of services including MSN Messenger, Friends Reunited and Skype.
