Blogger Ana Marie Cox Joins Liberal Media Firm Air America

Washington - Air America Media, a national progressive talk radio network, has named blogger Ana Marie Cox as its first DC-based national correspondent. She will contribute text, video and audio content to airamerica.com, as well as to a weekly program to air on Air America's radio network. Cox was the founding editor of the political blog, Wonkette, before becoming the Washington editor of Time.com in 2006.

Gawker Media Sells Wonkette, Idolator, Gridskipper Blogs

New York - Gawker Media, the blog network that includes Gawker, Defamer, Gizmodo, Wonkette and Jezebel, announced on Monday that is selling its Idolator, Gridskipper and Wonkette sites. "To be blunt: they each had their editorial successes; but someone else will have better luck selling the advertising than we did," Gawker Media founder and publisher Nick Denton said in a post on Gawker.com.

New York - The New York Times on Thursday published an interview by technology columnist David Pogue with Ana Marie Cox, the political blogger behind "Wonkette" who was just named the Washington editor of Time.com.
