Arlington, Va. - Caroline Little has resigned as the publisher and CEO of Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive (WPNI), the online publishing arm of The Washington Post, the Post reported. The news comes two months after Katharine Weymouth was named the CEO of Washington Post Media, a new unit of the company that oversees both the newspaper and washingtonpost.com. WPNI operates washingtonpost.com, newsweek.com, Slate and Budget Travel Online, as well as other sites. Hollywood talent and literary agency UTA announced today that Adam Ware will be joining the company in the newly created position of Head of Business Development. Ware will focus on new investment opportunities and joint ventures for the company with a specific interest in the new media sector. He will report to UTA Board member Jeremy Zimmer and will work alongside Brent Weinstein, the agency's Head of Digital Media. Ware will interface with all departments at the company including the agency’s newly announced UTA Online division. Arlington, Va. - Liz Spayd, an assistant managing editor of The Washington Post responsible for national news, has been named the new editor of the newspaper's website, washingtonpost.com.
