New York - Funtank, a newly-formed online entertainment publisher, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Candystand.com, the branded online game portal launched 11 years ago by confectioner Wrigley's. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Funtank's WDDG unit has managed Candystand.com since 2005, and said it will open the site to other brands and advertisers later this year. Chicago - The Wrigley Jr. Company on Wednesday announced the launch of a casual games site designed for play on the Nintendo Wii game console. The maker of Juicy Fruit, Big Red and Altoids launched Candystand.com as an advergaming site in 1997.
