Beverly Hills, Calif. - The founder of Electronic Gaming Magazine, Steve Harris, announced on Tuesday that he has signed a deal with publisher Ziff Davis Media to re-acquire certain assets of the publication, including trademarks and publishing rights, and plans to re-launch EGM in the second half of 2009.

New York - Ziff Davis Enterprise, a New York-based media company for the technology industry, has acquired Developer Shed, an Ohio-based network of websites for IT developers. Jonathan Caputo, founder and chief CEO of Developer Shed, will assume the role of COO and president of Internet Operations of the new entity. The merger occurs simultaneously with the completion of Ziff Davis Enterprise's spin out from Ziff Davis Media.

Ziff Davis to Discontinue Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine

San Francisco - Ziff Davis Game Group, the publisher of Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine, announced on Wednesday that it will discontinue publication of the magazine after the January 2007 issue. The nine-year-old magazine was licensed by Sony exclusively for print, which Ziff Davis said no longer fits the company's strategic vision.

Quincy Smith has been named President of the newly formed division CBS Interactive, it was announced today by Leslie Moonves, President and Chief Executive Officer of CBS Corporation. In this role, Smith will work in tandem with each CBS division to formulate new media strategies and partnerships involving all interactive platforms, including Internet, mobile and video gaming. Reporting to Smith will be the wide variety of interactive media company-wide, including: CBS SportsLine.com, CBSNews.com and CBS.com, as well as the new video site Innertube.
