San Francisco - Zookz, an unlimited music and video download service that recently launched from the island nation of Antigua, is "not operating under the authority or with the knowledge of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda," and is not authorized by the government "or by the World Trade Organization," according to an official statement published by CNET News.com. The site, which offers steep discounts on industry standard pricing, has stated that it is not subject to U.S. copyright laws. A Zookz attorney told CNET the company doesn't need any such authorizations, due to a recent WTO ruling in a dispute between the U.S. and Antigua.
