Network Music Store, an online store featuring user-created tracks that can be
downloaded for play along with the "Rock Band" music karaoke game. More
than 100 songs are available at launch, from bands including the Shins and Of
Montreal; an additional 300 tracks are also in the works. Billboard reports
that licensing terms will see MTV retain 70% of all sales from the Rock Band
Network Music Store.

- Viacom's (NYSE: VIA) MTV Games on Tuesday launched a public beta test of its new Rock
Band Network Store, which will let any band or user upload their own original
songs and create versions playable in the music karaoke game, The Wall Street
Journal reported. The Journal noted that a good degree of technical skills
would be required for most bands to utilize the feature, and that TuneCore is
offering a rate of $999 per song. That fee includes creation and mixing of
individual track "stems" for various instruments; note-charting; the
addition of "lighting, camera and animation cues" for the game; and
final submission to the Rock Band Network Store.

New York - Following the release of "The Beatles: Rock
Band" video game from Viacom's (NYSE: VIA) MTV Games, the next band to get the exclusive music
game treatment will be Green Day, the band announced at the Spike Video Game
Awards over the weekend. The band's songs have already been featured in
previous versions of the game. "Green Day: Rock Band" is in
development at MTV's Harmonix studio for release in 2010.

and Jay Cohen have been named to head Jerry Bruckheimer Games, the studio joint
venture with movie producer Jerry Bruckheimer announced in December 2007. Veevaert

"Halo" and "Gears of War," while Cohen spent the past
