the operator of an online ad and content network, announced on Tuesday that it
has acquired Joost, the streaming TV service founded by the creators of Kazaa
and Skype. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Founded in
2007 by Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis, Joost has raised about $50 million in
funding for its peer-to-peer-based video distribution service.

premium version, the Financial Times reported. Spotify, which is available in

fall, but recently said it would delay the launch to 2010. "We think
Spotify is a great service but they're going to have to convince us they can
convert enough people from free to paid subscriptions to make it worth our

in-game ads. The companies will seek to find out the degree to which in-game

engage in other actions that had previously gone unmeasured. Preliminary
research indicates that people exposed to in-game ads registered a 280%
increase in visits to a TV channel's website, compared with those not exposed
