Colin Dixon Senior Consultant Specialty: Enhanced TV Applications Mr. Dixon brings a wealth of knowledge on the rich media, DTV, and IPTV spaces to The Diffusion Group. He has held senior executive positions at Microsoft/WebTV, Liberate and Oracle where he was responsible for technology and business teams delivering to the Cable, Satellite and IPTV industries. Over the last 15 years he has led various corporate departments including engineering, business development, product and program management and marketing. Recently, Mr. Dixon has been consulting with a number of companies on a variety of projects. For one of the most prominent cable companies in the world he did a 360º report on a European Satellite operator's Guide and Interactive television businesses. For a Korean DVB-MHP and OCAP middleware provider he has been acting as an Executive Advisor on strategy and business development including presenting at several shows and conferences on their behalf. In his consulting role he focuses on business alignment, market strategy, business development, contract negotiation and company evangelism. Mr. Dixon graduated from the University of Reading in England with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He holds a Masters in Engineering from the University of Florida and has post-graduate business education experience from Stanford. He is a published author and accomplished speaker including presentations at major industry shows such as NAB and IBC.
