He covers a variety of topics related to consumer technologies with a particular focus on broadband adoption, home networks, broadband-enabled services, and the future of the “connected consumer.”
Prior to founding The Diffusion Group, Michael served as Vice President of Research & Strategy for Parks Associates, where he directed primary and secondary research efforts. He has published numerous analyses on emerging consumer and digital home technologies and services.
Mr. Greeson is also a regular contributor to a number of periodicals and frequently cited in the technology press. His contributions can be found in The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Forbes, The Register, Time, Business Week, The New York Times, Broadband Week, The Los Angeles Times, and many other publications.
As a seasoned public speaker, Michael is frequently invited to speak at the industry’s most prestigious events. Recent engagements include the following Intel Capital’s CEO Summit, Digital Home, and “Unwiring Asia” Conferences, Broadband Wireless World, CES, Digital Hollywood, OSGI’s World Congress, and COMDEX.
Michael graduated summa cum laude with a Master’s of Arts in Interdisciplinary Social Science from the University of Chicago, where he blended studies in sociology, psychology, social theory, and philosophy. Prior to Chicago, Michael graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Central Oklahoma.
